The largest marine retailer in the world West Marine has given its highest accolade to a UK manufactured life saving product. The Fast Find 210 Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) was presented with the West Marine’s Product of the Year Award during today’s annual Very Important Vendor (VIV) meeting in Watsonville, California.

Weighing just 5.3oz (150g) and at 4.17” (106mm) long the Fast Find 210 is the smallest PLB available on the market today. The Fast Find was launched in February of this year at Miami and it has already received an number of awards from around the world including the recent 2010 MAATS Innovation Award. The Fast Find can be activated anywhere in the world to transmit an emergency signal to alert search and rescue services. It achieved West Marine’s top product seal of approval through a number of criteria including product innovation, deliverables, store support, vendor support and point of purchase support.
